XINGU PSA PROJECT
AMAPURA stands out for its work in the conservation of the Amazon, allocating part of its resources to the Xingu PSA Project, which encourages sustainable practices, protects areas of native vegetation, reduces Carbon (CO₂) emissions, and strengthens local communities through Payment for Environmental Services in the Amazon region.
Decarbonization of the 500,000 cans donated to COP:
Transparency begins with honest numbers. Producing the 500,000 aluminum cans we distributed during the COP30, generates 113 tons of CO₂ equivalent emissions. This is a fact that many brands do not disclose. It is not a small amount—it is equivalent to the annual carbon emission of 57 Brazilians. But AMAPURA didn't stop at accounting. Knowing exactly how much we emitted, we made a decision: to purchase 113 tons of carbon credits that finance the PSA Xingu Project in the Amazon. This project preserves forest that would otherwise be deforested. Standing forest means stored carbon, not emitted carbon. By financing this protection, AMAPURA neutralizes 100% of the emissions from its cans. The aluminum you retain? Carbon neutral. The forest these credits protect? A real victory for the climate. This is the water we choose to bring into the world.
